Travel on the 19D Vintage Standard Gauge steam train from Creighton to Donnybrook and view and Photograph the spectacular world class scenery. Patons Country Railway will take you with the Eshayamoya coaches and steam train of Ingwe municipality on one of the most memorable standard gauge train trips ever. The train will leave Creighton station at 10.30 am, and will travel to Donnybrook where the locomotive will turn around around and return to Creighton at 12-30 pm. Experience the spectacular rural countryside. You will have the opportunity to take a world class picture of the steam train in a photo runpast set against the spectacular back ground of the hills and rural Africa.

Enjoy a day out in the country at the ART IN THE VALLEY:

This will be a unique opportunity to not only enjoy a very memorable steam train trip but also to see and buy that special art work by renowned artists and locally made crafts. Many are known from their outstanding exhibitions at Art in the Park over many years. The art Exhibition starts at 11am and goes on all day until 5pm. You will have the chance to place a Paper Bid on selected art donated by each artist, with or without reserve, and also join in the fun of the actual auction during the Gala Dinner. Children’s art will also be on display and for auction. There is still place to exhibit your art or crafts with the proviso that one piece be made available for auction. Don’t delay about coming forward!

Your young children will be entertained and supervised while you enjoy the lavish three course meal and dance the night away. They will receive a hotdog and entertainment for R15 per a head .

During the day there will be guided birding tours with experts aimed at the young and not so young, the active and the relaxed.

Directions to Creighton are simple: From Durban or Pmb. take the Thornville, Richmond, Ixopo road. As you enter Ixopo take a right turn sign posted as Ixopo / Underberg. Travel along that road for approximately 18 Kms. and take the left turn to Creighton. Drive straight on until you see the beautifully restored Creighton Station on your left.
