Too Hot for Silver Shoal

The warm temperature of the Indian Ocean may be wonderful for those enjoying their 'winter' holidays along the KZN coast, but unfortunately those same temperatures are keeping the sardines at bay.

According to the deputy chief executive officer of the Natal Sharks Board, Mike Anderson-Reade, everything depends on when the temperatures drop sufficiently to entice the sardines to the shores of KZN. However, if the temperatures are not reduced by mid-July, it is unlikely that the shoals of silver fish will be sighted this year.
