Indaba Preparations Well Underway
With just 40 days to go, preparations for Durban's massive
tourism Indaba are well underway. In the background,
countless people are working extremely hard to ensure this
will be the biggest - and the best- Indaba to date.
In this regard, African Dimension Shuttle Services and
Syavaya Tours and Travel won the tender to operate the
Indaba 2006 shuttle service, reports Darren Sandras of
Travel News Now. Both companies are black economic
empowerment companies, and African Dimension Shuttle
Services was one of the 2005 Emerging Tourism Entrepreneur
of the Year Award (ETEYA) finalists.
The two companies will be required to shuttle close to 5
000 Indaba delegates from Durban International Airport to
their hotels (in the centre of the city and on both the
north and south coasts), to the ICC each day and to special
Indaba events such as the golf day, the opening beach party
and the street party.
Be sure to add the dates of Durban's Indaba to your
calendar of Must Attend events - the 6th - 9th of May.
Along with the World Travel Market in London and the ITB in
Berlin, Durban's Indaba is becoming one of the top travel
and trade shows in the world. Don't miss it!
