Guduza Helps Turn KZN Midlands into a Preferred Destination
Plans are underway to turn Kwazulu Natal’s picturesque
Midlands into more than a meander.
A community trust initiative, Guduza Trust, is working with
local stakeholders to develop the Midlands as a tourism
destination.
Guduza is encouraging community members to establish a
series of craft centres to showcase such local craft as
leatherworking and silversmithing, as well as introducing
birding, hiking, horseback, biking and cultural trails.
It is hoped Guduza will help local people generate real
sustainable opportunities by helping them to link tourism
experiences to offer visitors to this historic, natural and
cultural centre.
