TKZN's Call for Tourism Proposals
Tourism KwaZulu-Natal, the provincial marketing and
promotional body, is inviting interested leading inbound
tour operators and professional convention and event
organisers to put forward group tourism proposals to bring
tourists to KwaZulu-Natal. These proposals will be
evaluated to mobilise the province of KwaZulu-Natal's group
tourism promotion budget effectively for the financial
years 2005/2006 and 2006/2007.
Group tourism encompasses:
*Group Series Tours - a series of KwaZulu-Natal related
tours, which are made up of at least 50 tourists per group.
*Conventions - 500 delegates, preferably foreign.
*Events which will attract at least 5 000 tourists to a
KwaZulu-Natal event.
*Charter Tours
*Scheduled foreign flights into KwaZulu-Natal
The proposals will primarily be evaluated on the basis of
the 'return' which KwaZulu-Natal will receive for its
investment. The minimum return expected will be 10.1.
