Zimbali Course to be Deisgned by Gary Player
Time for golf in the Zulu Kingdom! A R5 billion investment
is planned for KwaZulu-Natal's prestigious resort, Zimbali,
on the North Coast. At present the Zimbali lakes
development has 400 homes, a five star hotel, an 18-hole
golf course and a country club. Ultimately the plan is for
2000 homes, four hotels, a gold and tennis academy and two
championship golf courses with a total investment of around
R7 billion.
The new Zimbali golf course is to be designed by Gary
Player's company, Gary Player Design. His organization has
already designed 220 golf courses around the world and his
next effort is to be in KwaZulu-Natal.
